This is our flagship program and is led and designed by Dr. Chris and SOSF Head coach Rich Quintans. Our purpose is simple: to build the best gym and program in the world. Knowing that a gym is only as strong as the community that supports it, we are committed to providing world-class coaching, programming and customer service. SOSF is a place for people who are determined to improve their fitness and wellness. We provide levels based on your goals, interest, and commitment but we strive to form one community. Every workout can be scaled to your level of fitness. Our World Class Coaches will help you scale every workout to your individual fitness level. Begin wherever you’re at and grow at your own pace all while doing this in an environment that doesn’t judge or belittle.
Those who wish to partake of competition level training are choosing to undergo a more rigorous program designed to allow them to compete at higher levels. This program is perfect for anyone who has aspirations of making it to the CrossFit Games or landing a spot on an NPGL team. Competition athletes must be disciplined enough to follow the training but also listen to their bodies to know when it is time to back off. The program will have regular planned deload weeks however if the stresses of work and family are getting to the athlete, modifications can be made in order to allow the athlete to still train while allowing some mental or physical recovery. The key to success on a competition type training cycle is to stick to the planned program and to stay healthy.
Led and designed by Coach Eric Lopatafsky, a professor at Sacred Heart University. The goal of this program is to teach all aspects of weightlifting to those in CrossFit classes and those who enjoy weightlifting as standalone training. From the basics of stance, grip and setup to the more advanced principles and concepts of weightlifting, students will be guided on a clear and consistent path towards a greater understanding of lifting, strength and movement.
College and High School teams who are in the off season and in season, looking to try something new, or simply looking to workout with their friends in a fun and energetic atmosphere. Each class is coached CrossFit Coaches, but have a great back ground in sport specific training. Class consists of 3 parts, the first being mobility, the second being a strength program and the third, a conditioning program. Our High School athletes find that after a few months of attending class regularly they have increased strength, speed, and coordination.
